#8CantWait is a campaign to bring immediate change to police departments.
8 Can’t Wait grew out of the Use of Force Project launched 10 years ago. To date, we’ve led legislative changes in 24 states and hundreds of cities and will continue this important work.
Over this past decade, we have learned some valuable lessons about the challenge in gathering real-time data and ensuring police departments actually enforce accountability policies that have been adopted. We are incorporating these learnings into how we push departments and legislative bodies to make the changes that will save lives.
